According to DSCI – Data Security Council of India, the report from NCRB (National Crime Records Bureau), the rising no. of cyber crimes in Gujarat has prompted DSCI to help state police to start cyber labs in every state in India.
Right now 8 such labs are functioning in India including Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
Now, Forensic Science office at Gandhinagar, Gujarat has computer forensic facilities and Ahmedabad crime branch is going for adding new cyber crime department.
Bharti Airtel, India’s biggest GSM service provider, has been punished for blocking torrent site on mobile GPRS to a consumer in Karnatak.
It is observed that Consumer repeatedly contacted Nodal officer with enough proof that the banned site is not listed in the court order which was sited in the company’s reason to block the site, but even Nodal officer did not respond him responsibly and ignored him several times.
Finally, consumer approached District Consumer Forum and after brief hearing, consumer forum ruled in favour of the consumer penalising Airtel for blocking the website.
As per the news from “Chitralekha” – Leading Gujarati Magazine, Gujarat Urban Development Department will allow all Municiple corporations including 180 towns to permit private players to start Public Transport Service.
The decision is taken as a part of Govt. of Gujarat’s 2000 cr Urban Mobility Plan.
